Under shortwave UV the sodalite crystals fluoresce a magenta whitish color, similar to the phosphorescent color (which I believe might have something to do with this fluorescence. The winchite under SW has a dull yellow fluorescence under SW and a greenish /blue (cyan?) under LW - very striking.
Under LW is where the sodalite really pops. The specimen is very phosphorescent after exposure to any wavelength. The animation below shows the tenebrescence (color change) after exposure to SW UV.
