Creedite, Qinglong Mine, Guizhou Province, China

Radiating sprays of transparent, gemmy prismatic creedite crystals on a bed of white quartz druse. This specimen is from the Qinglong Mine (Dachang Mine), Qinglong Co., Qianxi'nan Autonomous Prefecture, Guizhou Province, China. The creedite is fluorescent under all UV wavelengths, showing a bright blue to blue/white response with phosphorescence. The size of this specimen is 65 x 57 x 22 mm, and it weighs 50 grams.

In this macro photograph, the creedite crystals fluoresce blue under short wave UV (254nm). FOV = 48 mm.
