Shown here is a fluorite specimen from the area of Le Muy, Var, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, France, which shows an unusual light blue fluorescence, instead of the more common darker blue glow commonly seen in fluorite. Nice addition to my longwave UV display, which now includes specimens fluorescing in all the colors of the visible light spectrum!
It fluoresces the same color under all three UV wavelengths; but as it's usually the case with fluorite, the brightest response is seen under longwave UV. Therefore, I didn't include pictures of the weaker midwave UV and shortwave UV responses.
The specimen is shown in visible light in the second picture.
