Hydrozincite and Calcite, Goodsprings, Nevada

Two specimens from the Yellow Pine Mine in Goodsprings, Nevada. The first is both Calcite and Hydrozincite, and the second is the prototypical Hydrozincite from the mine. Very, very bright in shortwave, the calcite adds a little bit of intrigue. If you visit the site, the Pioneer Saloon a few miles from the mine, is an amazing example of the old west.
