Snowball Geode from Trancas, Chihuahua, Mexico

Geodes are great fun. They're much better than Easter Eggs during an egg hunt, and this one was found during such an escapade. Momma always told me "Geodes are like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get." When we cracked this one, not only did we find fluorescent Chalcedony, we also found a "snowball"! It's a decent sized geode, at about four inches in diameter.

Shown in Shortwave and natural light.
