Phlogopite, Afghanite, Calcite, Unknowns...a different point of view

White glassy calcite matrix mainly covered by Afghanite Phlogopite and other several varieties of fluorescent and NF minerals in small quantity . Quite common material from Badakhshan!

But due to the presence of different small mineralizations , this specimen become very attractive when observed under magnifier.

Again, it fluoresces at all three UV wavelength with different colors.

Dimension: 105 x 55 x 30 mm

Weight: 268g

Origin: Badakhshan (Afghanistan)

Natural light

Full Wave: 27W Mw; 54W Sw; 18W Lw. The red calcite matrix best fluoresces Mw.
