Calcite, Kamioka Mine, Gifu Prefecture, Japan

Not many fluorescents seem to come from Japan. This one is a very nice, though small, calcite from the Kamioka Mine in Kamioka Town, Nishiyoshiki County, Gifu Prefecture, Japan. Though the piece is much brighter in midwave, I think the subtle response in shortwave is much more dramatic. Shown in SW, MW, LW and Natural. The piece is about three inches across.
